In this second video with the International Life Insurance Agent Association (the first one can be viewed HERE), I sit down with Nick Perry from the ILIAA to discuss our new book, “How to Qualify, Present & Sell Final Expense and Medicare Supplements to Seniors,” and what it was like gathering more than 30 agents together to make an inexpensive training guide for selling insurance to seniors.

We started by talking about the 4 major problems currently facing America’s seniors:

  1. 10,000 baby boomers are retiring every day, seeking the best options for life and health insurance.
  2. 25% of the insurance agents who would have helped these seniors will retire by 2018.
  3. Millennials don’t like insurance as a career option, leaving a gap in the industry to serve these seniors.
  4. Quality insurance sales training comes at the expense of lower commissions or captive contracts, leaving many agents unequipped with the knowledge and skills they need to serve seniors.

We hope that our 300-page guide will be the first step in providing a base foundation of knowledge for aspiring insurance agents, at a cost of only $10. And I’m thrilled that the ILIAA invited me to talk about it.

Finally, we talk about the future of Lead Heroes and what that means for agents. Our current priority (besides delivering the best affordable insurance leads for agents) is enhancing our blog. We received a bunch of responses from the agents who collaborated with us on our book, that we weren’t able to fit into 300 pages, so we decided to publish more of their tried-and-tested tips and insights on our website, along with some helpful marketing guides and articles we’re creating. We will be introducing new collaborator advice going forward, which will help contribute to the best practices we’re collecting to help agents improve their sales process and grow their book of business.
